SwissTex Winterthur AG is a global manufacturer of textile machinery and a system provider with a profound knowledge of BCF and T&I extrusion processes for the continuous filament market. The company is located in Winterthur, Switzerland. We have a Technical Trial Center, where Pilot Plants for BCF and T&I are installed.

We have a sales and support office in Shanghai, China. This allowed us to set new milestones involving China. The opening of this office demonstrates the importance of the customer and market proximity for SwissTex.
Furthermore we proudly announce that SwissTex America, a global filament yarn extrusion and service corporation, celebrated opening its new headquarters at 31 August 2011 in Dalton. This region manufactures 90% of America’s tufted carpet. From Dalton, SwissTex will provide machines, technology, parts and field service to the global fiber industry throughout North America.

Formerly, the filament business unit was part of the Rieter Group. In December 2006, Bavaria Industriekapital AG (www.baikap.de), located in Munich, Germany, took over these activities and took on the member of staff and personnel in accordance with an asset deal. The structure of this innovative deal has enabled the various interests to be harmonised perfectly.
